Magellan Survey Sample and Voter Demographics Methodology
Magellan Strategies maintains a national database of 185 million registered voters that is used for sample in our surveys. The database is an essential component in determining past voter demographics for our survey research projects. We believe survey demographics derived from a voter file database with complete vote history are more accurate than using past exit polling data. While we do not completely discount exit polling data, and do factor exit polling data into our final survey demographics, we place a higher priority on voter file demographics.
